I always loved “spending time” with my students and Dr. King.  There’s something about him that really resonates with children, even young ones.  There are so many things I never knew anything about as a child that were important for me to know, and the life of Dr. King is one of the best forums that I’ve encountered for learning about the past, the present, and the future of our society.  His life is astonishing, an inspiration, and an education—I guess that’s why there are so many wonderful books about him.  I hope this year you and your students will learn something new and amazing about this great man.
